One of the windshield wipers on my Pontiac Vibe suddenly stopped working.  On it's own it won't move at all, if I give it a little push it will move slowly on its own and then stop.  The other wiper arm is working fine at normal speeds.  Thanks for your help!

What happened is that the arm was stuck in ice or snow or something. Always clean out wiper area before turnning on wipers or this will happen. If its like other GM's of recent, try removing the nut that attaches arm to the wiper transmission, it may be under a decorative cap.You may have to pry up arm to remove after nut is off. With arm remove cycle wiper and turn off letting the other side come to the normal stop point. Place the other wiper back on the transmission (shaft stub sticking out) and posistion it on the resting spot that matches the other side. re-attach nut and put covering back on. The shaft and arm on a lot of these now are a tappered bushing and are not like the old splined shafts, which is a good thing in cases like this. The old style usually caused more damage to other components that required more parts/money and time.
