type of oil for 1999 chrysler sebring convertible jxi

I have a 1999 chrysler sebring jxi and just recently, the oil light comes on at idle,I don't have a manual andd I don't know what weight oil to put in. Can anyone help me?

I belive this is a 5w-30 weight application. However, you didn't mention the mileage! Might be that the engine is worn and the reason for oil light to come on at idle. Have a mechanic verify correct oil pressure is present by attaching a mechanical gage to engine first to make sure oil gage/light is functioning properly. You way just have a defective sending unit for the gage, but then again you could have more serious problems such as I stated above. Heavier weight oil can compensate for slightly worn bearing surfaces, to help maintain oil pressure. Not a cure all, just buys time.
