it also depends on what you are really planning..

i had a friend who was really really broke a long time ago...   he mounted a temp spare tire off a car on his bike.. it worked.. i don't know how long it lasted...


i was actually thinking about some of the really FAT rear tires used on some custom motorcycles...   on a car with tons of caster dialed into the wheel alignment..

might make for some interesting cornering qualities.  


i don't know why.. but i just had a flash back to the swing axle early corvairs..  maybe its not so hot an idea...
