I've been doing some preliminary searching online and am trying to find a crossover/SUV that seats 7. Don't need the 3rd row to fit adults and will probably have it folded flat most of the time but want the option as I plan on keeping the car for 5-10 years and the family is growing.

Currently have a 2003 Volvo S60 which is getting tight for everyone.

I've been looking at the XC90 but really don't like the dash and navigation system. I much prefer the new XC60 but that only seats 5. Looking to buy new or new/used (<25K miles). I'm also concerned about the leg room in the second row on the XC90.

Any other ideas out there? I love the Q7 but hesitant on spending all that cash. What other 7 seaters are there out there with good leg room on 2nd row and a 3rd row which kids could use or I could keep folded flat for more cargo room?

I really appreciate all your ideas and thoughts.

Check out the Toyota Highlander.  Great 3rd row seat room and heat & air vents for the 3rd row seating area.

You can never go wrong with a Chevy Tahoe or Suburban.  You can pick up a preowned for a great price and they are very reliable and stylish.  Plus if you get a 2007 or newer you get the 100,000 mile power train warranty
