Hi,

I have a 93 Ford Tempo. I turn the car off and try to put it in park and
it won't go in park. I can't get the key out of the ignition switch
because I can't get it past Drive into Park. One guy said i tmight be the
shift cable and I saw on an internet site it sounds like it might be that
the shift interlock is in need lubrication. I do notice that when it gets
cold like around zero degrees it is harder to put it in drive, park and
reverse.

Are either of these problems really expensive? And would a Meineke be a
good place to take it. It sounds like a delicate procedure either way.

Thanks
