Team,
I need your help. My AC was running perfect. We had a cold day in San Antonio so we used the heater. Now my when I turn on the AC I only get hot air like the heater. I am not a car person and I am currently unemployed with a big family so I am trying to fix it myself. Any advice would be great. Someone suggested that it might be a vacuum that is stuck......
THanks for your help,
Joe

it could be a bunch of things....
the blend door may have jammed or broke .. or the blend door actuator quit...
there are just so many variables... there are trouble shooting charts for the A/C system... but each year , make and model has it's own charts...
some cars have 2 types of a/c systems... manual controlled .. and fully automatic... . the fully automatic versions can be checked for codes...
post your year make and model. engine size or 8th digit of the vin code.. and if you ac system is automatic or manual...
there are also TSBs to look at as similar models have similar problems...

Wayne,
I really appreciate the help. The car is a 2003 ford Taurus and the Ac is manually controlled. The Vin # is 1FAFP53253G255762
Any more help would be greatly appreciated and I would be willing to send you a gift card if you can walk me through how to fix it.
Joe
