i have a 1992 Ford F-150 with the 5.0 V-8 engine. i am getting no fire to the coil . i have replaced the dist . cap , rotor button , ignition module , and the coil. can someone please send me advice on what else it could be. i have also replaced the coil wire . i somewhat think it could be the timing chain.......but could it be the timing chain if the rotor button is spinning when you crank it over? and also if the timing chain were out would the coil still not get fire to it? i have placed a screw driver in the end of the coil wire and let someone hold the metal part and no fire from the coil. shoot me an email at dannywaggoner@hotmail.com or feel freee to call me @ 615-305-4804.
Thank you ,
Danny

near the distributer.. there is a little plug. when unplugged it looks like a fuel injector connector.... hanging from the harness... unplug it from the connector... crank the engine now.. see if you get spark... see what happens... that removes the ecm from the timing control....
i would also check the positive side of the coil for power... when the key is turned on..
it is totally possible that the pick up coil in the distributer has failed..
did you have the module you removed tested at the parts store on their tester.. some stores offer that service..
