I have a 2001 jeep cherokee sport OBD11 code 1698 No ccd messages received from tcm How do i fix this.  

start with the cheep parts... change the transmission controller relays...

the code means the signals from the transmission controller are not getting through...   usually do to intermittent relays..

it could also be the ignition switch... the electrical half..

both of those are easy to do  the relays are really easy to do

the electrical part of the ignition switch is a little harder..  




or... you could start with the really expensive parts first.. like having the transmission rebuilt and replacing the transmission controller.. .. then find that its just the relays or the ignition switch..     remember... the ignition switch powers up a lot of different circuits..  any intermittent from the many circuits... codes will set..
