this sure rings back bad memories...
the company i worked for shipped a 1953 cad eldorado biarritz convertable back east.. it was all original.. unrestored.. and it ran.. the brakes worked.. when it got to the other side of the country.. both sides were flattened.. seems.. someone during the loading and unloading.. got it sideways inside the trailer.. thinking that this is just an old car...

the ruined car was an alpine white version.. with a white top...
i don't know what happened to the car when it arrived on the east coast.. i know the new owner was hot.. imagine what the insurance company said.. there were pictures taken before it left los angeles..
