Hi,
Can someone tell me how to change the Auto Transmission Indicator bulb in my '98 Toyota Corolla? I'd like to be able to see the transmission display (P, R, D, N, 2, L) at night without having to turn on my interior lights.
There is a thin, plastic frame bordering the shift stick and display panel that can be pried off using a flat head screw driver. But, once I've pried that off, I'm not sure where to go from there. I don't see any easy moving parts or bulbs, etc.
I've thumbed through the manual several times to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks, AndyO

the bulbs in question are mounted in the shifter cover right..
sounds like you will have to pry up the shifter console cover..
i really could not find any thing at autozone either.. they do show that you have to use a wide thin screw driver to unlatch the sides catches on the console center trim panel...
you do have to take it farther apart... with care...
