DO NOT GO TO SUBURBAN AUDI IN FARMINGTON HILLS!!!!

Last year the lease on my BMW was up, so I was looking to purchase a CPO A6 from Suburban Audi.  I had an issue with my credit at the time, so I was going to pay cash for the vehicle.  At the time the dealer was going through management issues, and the finance manager was fired or quit during the timeframe of my several visits to the dealer.  I had to get a car, so I was contacting them more than they were contacting me.  It wasn't the salesman's fault at the time, but for some reason, they wouldn't accept my offer to pay CASH for the vehicle!!  CASH!  What dealer wouldn't take cash for a vehicle?  Needless to say I was disgusted by the horrible experience at the dealer so I went back to BMW for my business.  Fast forward 1 1/2 years later, I've had my eye on the S5 since they've been in production, so I started shopping around at the different dealers for it, and I figured I'd give Suburban Audi a chance to redeem themselves.  They actually did verbally since they wanted to give me more for my car than the other dealers and they were going to give me a better price on the S5 as well, so it all sounded good.  Well, I happened to be dealing with the same salesman from the first bad experience (Craig Seager), and the experience started becoming the same as it did last time where I was in touch with them more than they were with me.  I had asked Craig to keep me in the loop with what's going on, and I haven't heard back from him now for over a week!  I'm getting ready to make a major purchase, and he's not doing a good job showing me that he cares about this deal at all, so this time I am blaming the salesman.  I've since taken my business elsewhere to someone who at least appears to give a darn, and I will NEVER, EVER, EVER recommend or go back to Suburban Audi for anything!!!

My name is Daniel Boismier, Internet Sales Director for the Suburban Collection, of which Suburban Audi of Farmington Hills is part of.  Below is a reply from John Fitzgerald, General Sales Manager of Import of Farmington Hills, which includes Audi.

This customer is correct in that we offered a strong amount for his trade in, as we often do at Imports of Farmington Hills to earn our customers business.  He is also correct in that the price on the Audi he wanted to purchase was better than the competition, another important factor to consider when doing business at Imports of Farmington Hills.   What is not disclosed is that the Audi he is interested in is not available for 3 months since it is yet to be produced.   We communicated this to the customer along with the fact that we would need to re-assess his trade in when the vehicle that was on order came in.  (The trade is a rear wheel drive BMW that would have to be sold during the winter).

I welcome to Statehtr to contact me at the store to further discuss this matter.

I understood that the vehicle would have taken 3 months to produce, and I understood that my trade-in would have needed to be re-assessed if I were to continue driving it until the new car arrived.  What you may fail to understand is that I spoke to the salesman last Thursday and asked him to keep me in the loop of things and to find out if the dealer could offer me a certain amount at that time, then I would come in and close the deal.  He was supposed to call me back that evening, but he never did and hasn't contacted me since.  What kind of customer service is that?  I'M ABOUT TO MAKE A MAJOR PURCHASE ON AN S5!!  For a dealer that really screwed up the first time, it's obvious to me that he didn't care enough to try and do WHATEVER it took to keep me there and earn my business.  Needless to say, I'm more disappointed with your dealership this time around and even more disappointed in myself for contacting you again.  This was truly a mistake and lesson learned, and I will NEVER come back to your dealership or recommend it ever again.  You can pass that along to management.
