i have a nice 91 geo metro. i am currently at 155,005 miles and about 4,000 miles ago i had a someone replace a burnt valve. now my car has a bad hesitation when sitting still, and burns about a quart of oil every 400 miles. any idea what might be wrong. i know it burns the oil coming out of 1st gear into 2nd and you can smell it when you cut the car off... HELP ME PLEASE!!!! i cant afford much b/c of college... thanx

400 miles per quart ...hnmm
did they do a valve job or just slap in another valve???
did they replace any valve guides??? the valve seals.. more than one valve????
did they properly torque the head back to specs... with a torque wrench .. over tightening the head will change the distortion patterns on the cylinder walls.. this changes the amount that the rings move in and out in their grooves...
i wonder if the PCV valve got replaced.. it might be too big.. they package them by shape now a days.. not flow rates..
i would think a factory part... GM , Geo, or suzuki might work... might be worth its few dollars.. to try it.. i have fixed several oil burner motors with a change of pcv valves...
