I have a 1995 3.4L V6 camaro and i was wondering if i could take the motor and put it into a 1996 original 3.8L V6 camaro body...and i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on why my oil pressure drops and my car smells like its burning oil..i have no clue whats going on.

the oil pressure switch on the drivers side of the motor is leaking... it may be squirting the exhaust manifolds...
the 2.8, 3.1, 3.4 engine familys have the oil pressure running around the base of the distributer housing... if the Oring on the distributer housing gets hard it will leak oil.. sometimes a lot..
i am not familiar with the 3.8 engine family.. unless it is a 3800 buick built motor... i was not aware that they put those in camaros... but anything is possible..
it is possible to swap anything into anything else... it is just the amount of knowledge the mechanic has... these are computer controlled motors.. and everything has to be perfect.. and things may need to be modified..
