I have this truck and it works properly until it shifts into OD then nothing OVERREV occurs.  Turn off OD works properly ?  What is the problem?  

your truck should have a 4R70W type trans.Your problem is most likely a burnt overdrive band,a damaged overdrive servo piston or a damaged 3-4 accumulator piston.If your trans is a 4R100 then the 3-4 accumulator is in the front section of the valve body.but with this trans it is most likely burnt overdrive clutches.
