For all of you who don't know or haven't heard the latest news in ford, the Crown Victoria, the car that has been our biggest pain when we see the red and blue lights shining from our rear view mirrow, is being discontinued and soon. Now police officers are not happy with these news and are even more upset over the choice Ford wants to replace the Crown Vic with, the Ford Taurus. So while hearing upon this I just happened to find this interesting article on an idea for a replacement car for the police force.
Well, I have a proposal that may please both police traditionalists, as well as the bean-counters at Ford. It may seem radical, but I think it's a relatively sound business proposition. Build the new Police Interceptor on a modified F-150 chassis.
Think about it...this recipe covers all the bases for the traditionalists: V8 power, rear-wheel-drive, body-on-frame, and tough-as-nails construction.

Seems like an interesting idea to me. In fact I like it. What about you though. What do you think about this idea? Do you have another vehicle in mind or different idea for a replacement of the Crown Vic?

HAHA....naw I don't think so. The concept would have had a 4.6L engine with plenty of power. So trust me...no ricers would mess with it unless they have a prison wish!!

that's a bit of engine...
but if its normally asperated then a turbo\nitro system might have the ripping power to speed away in bursts, maybe not top speed but bursts..
It would be interesting to see this on a city mock up with a ricer running street race parts.

now that I think about it my friend has a 4.6 in his jeep. haha....
depends on how much power the engine is capable of producing and of course the torque.
a 600CC super sport bike (my brother owns) is pushing 100hp and that a little over a half liter of displacement. If they could be that efficient with a 4.6 liter then i agree with you, rice burners are done but if not... that eagle\eclips\Mitsu GT3000 is gonna get away.
