I know car dealers have to make a living too, but taking advantage of people who are interested in Cash For Clunkers by price gouging and selling them over-priced used cars?   If I could give anyone advice that are in the market to buy a used car right now, I'd say wait until this Cash For Clunkers bullcrap is over.

geese... and i thought that this was going to be something important..    like every ford taurus... with a code.. i think it is a P0401....  it takes 2 parts... the dpfe sensor... and the EGR solenoid..   about 100 bucks in parts... the techs get 0.4 hours to fix it... the dealers charge the customers 500 to 600 to do it...

the taurus are well enough made.. that is about the only thing to fail...  and customers get nailed and nailed again and again..

I have found this to be the best way to buy a car. http://www.100overinvoice.net
They get you a price of $100 over the dealers invoice. I have had so many bad experiences and I used them for my last purchase and I will never buy a car any other way than this. You get the best deal up front and they do all the work for you. Check it out!

There really is no actual price for a used car.  Dealers get used cars for all sorts of prices.  I think you should get one that has all your needs and fits your payment budget or cash budget.  There will always be somewhere you could've purchased the car for less after you bought it.  As long as you're happy for what you paid for and the car dealership that serviced you, I think you should be happy that they make money too!
