I have a premium 7 radio that I would like to wire an mp3 jack to. Does anyone know how this can be done or a link of the specs of the radio so I can do it?

does the radio have an additional audio input pair of RCA plugs???
if so... and you are using your Ipod..

with a conventional 3.5mm stereo head phone connector

you can get similar cables at many stores ... just not at the same low price... their store in in van nuys ca... but mail order is their business ..

No it doesn't. I was orignally thinking of splicing into the speaker wires in back of the radio and then putting in a cheap amp to power the speakers instead of seeing if my ipod would. I'd rather use the radio's amp if I can.

most better power amps have more than one set of inputs...
better talk to a radio guy... i only dabble in radios...
if you were in los angeles ... i would send you to to corner of 11th street and central ave.... there are wholesale electronics stores any way you look... google map it... 11th street and central ave.. los angeles ca... then when the search nearby link shows up... put in audio , car stereos, electronics...

If you are looking to use an iPod, check with your local VW dealer, or search online. The Premium 7 supports an OEM iPod adapter (fits in the glove box). I've got it on my 09 Jetta (though neveer used it, as I don't own an iPod). I'm pretty sure the adapter is available as an accessory. (I believe the VW Part Number is 1K0051444).
