The inflatable spare for my car is a $1000 option.  I would like to know if there is a viable alternative.
I need a space saver that when deflated will fit in the spare compartment which is  17.5" wide, and no deeper than 7". The tire should then inflate to the approximate diameter of the other wheels, about 24".

The wheels have a 5X108 bolt pattern, and offsets of Front.55mm and Rear.63mm (about2")
First of all, is the offset important for an temporary fix, just to get you home?
Second, it looks like Taurus, Sable, CrownVic, Windstar, Continental, Lincon LS, Cougar and Volvo S60,C70,S80 have a 5X108 pattern. Do any have space saver that would fit in my spare compartment?
