In 2000, the Honda Odyssey came with front disk/rear drum brakes. All Odysseys from 2002 forward are disk/disk. Is it possible to pick up a complete rear disk brake assembly and put it on my Odyssey? If not, I know that some aftermarket manufacturers make brake drums/rotors with different "hardness" factors (a better/harder rotor/drum would be less susceptible to heat and fade). any ideas which brands might be better than others? where to buy them? Thanks in advance!

While I cannot answer your question, I am in the same situation. The rear drum brakes on my 2000 Odyssey LX make a clunking sound as I slow to a stop. The very good service department at my local Honda dealer says they can't do anything about it, short of replacing the drums, shoes, springs, etc. -- basically starting over. So I'm thinking, as long as they're talking about starting over, why not upgrade from drums to rear disks. So, if you find out an answer to your question, I'd love to hear about it. And if I find out anything, I'm glad to share that as well. Thanks, Stephan
