I have a 1995 Checy S-10 with a 2.2 5 speed man. a couple of times each time I drive the truck it will stop running or runs very poorly or barely runs if you keep tapping the gas pedal.  when it stalls it will not start for about a minute or so then it starts and runs fine. it will quit running going down the road and has no power whats so ever and will stall unless you press the cruse, then it will run fine.
