im not a mechanic by a long shot but i have a 1991 honda civic lx and i am trying to change the water pump because it is leaking. now i have already undone the alternator belt and taken the top part of the timing belt housing off. ive been trying for two days to get this crankshaft pulley bolt off and i cant budge it. used a impact wrench but it dont have enough a## behind it. now ive tried using my torque wrench and ive busted three screwdrivers and a socket. im now using a deep wall impact socket so im not worried about it breaking but i bent my craftsman #3 screwdriver from sticking it in the crank hole to stop it from turning and im out of ideas for stopping it from turning. i took the starter off because i was told that if i took it out and stuck something in the flywheel i could get the job done with a breaker bar. but i cant get enough room to stop the flywheel from turning and i am afraid of breaking a tooth or two. does anyone have any suggestions or know how to help with my conquest? i cant afford to have anyone else do it for me so im stuck doing it my self and with the tools i got. please someone give me an answer im stressing cus i work two jobs and go to welding school so i need my car up and running by today cus this was supposed to be only a weekend job cus i need the car up and running.
