I have a 2005 Dodge Durango I bought used. I know --- I wasn't looking for a Durango, but I bought it because I got a good deal on it; only 39K miles in nearly-perfect condition & clean Carfax at $8,000, and with a V8 as I needed reasonable towing capability.
It came with some nice 20" wheels with 285/50R20 all-terrain tires made by Pathfinder, surely put on aftermarket. I usually tow a 6x12 covered trailer, single axle, so it's not a lot of weight, but it's a reasonable amount. The tire says 50psi is the max pressure.
Q: What is the recommended cold PSI without the trailer attached?
Q: Do I need to increase the PSI if I use the trailer 3 times a week?
Thanks in advance.

According to Tire Guides, 2005 Dodge Durango's came with either P245/70R17's or P265/65R17's both at 33 psi. Please check your vehicle placard to be sure this is correct as what I am about to write depends on this.
In order to carry the same load, a 285/50R20 needs to use 2 psi less.
But why not take advantage of the additional impact protection for your rims and use the same pressure.
BTW, vehicle manufacturers spec the towing capacity of their vehicles and so long as you are within those limits, the placard pressure will be adequate.
