did you wait for it to cool off????? before you tried to start it???

can you hear or see the engine cooling fans running????

can you cycle the ignition key on , off, on , off, on , off, on... within 10 seconds..  then count the check engine light flashes..

they are all going to be 2 digit codes...   blink,,,,,,,,,,,,  blink blink ....    would be a code 12...       five blinks in a row then five more..  is the last code.. if you have no other codes.. then 5, 5 means no codes were stored...

there are several things that could have gone wrong..  but searching for codes first...

a scan tool that works with chrysler systems is going to help...  so you can look at live data.. but this is not an OBD2 car..  so it is going to be hard to find.. and many non professional scan tools... even after you buy the chrysler cables and modules.. tell you to cycle the key... and count the flashes...

there are page after page of NO START diagnostics... for those models...

if you want to try it your self...    alldatadiy.com      or   eautorepair.net..

additional....    does the engine crank way faster than it normally does...

you might have broken a timing belt.. or stripped the teeth off it..

at 131K you should have already changed it......

i don't know .. but if you take off the oil filler cap...   shine a bright flash light into the opening... have someone crank the motor.. see if you can see anything moving down inside while the engine is cranking...

the water pump is driven by the back of the timing belt. it might be possible for the water pump to lock up and the timing belt break... or strip..
