Recently President Obama passed a bill in which it gave the consumer $4,500 dollars in credit towards a new car. The program was dubbed "Cash for Clunkers." Now Chrysler went ahead and doubled the credit to $9,000 if the consumer goes and buys a Chrysler vehicle which includes Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep. However should you not qualify for Obama's credit, Chrysler is still willing to give you $4,500 towards your new Chrysler vehicle.
My question to you guys goes as follows....now that you have 9,000 in incentives, or 4,500.... will this make you go to a Chrysler dealership and buy one of there cars? Will this help or hurt Chrysler in sales? Is the American public willing to put faith in Chyrlser once again even after bankruptcy?

Only half of Chrysler's inventory even qualifies for cash for clunkers. Good article on it here: http://wot.motortrend.com/6534253/cash-for-clunkers/chrysler-offers-double-cash-for-clunkers-cash-but-not-much-qualifies/index.html
You have to look at it this way. Chrysler has a $4,500 rebate right now and that is it. Then if you qualify for the Cash for Clunkers on a select vehicle then you might get the additional $4,500.
Chrysler did a great job of marketing their new campaign though, I am sure it will get a lot of people to the dealership but people will be disappointed when they find out that the truck or car they wanted does not qualify for the $9K.
