Hello there!

I've got a serious problem, i think. Basically i bought an used Range Rover. But i think that the previous owner has updated the computer with BMW-s software which bricked it. I mean i don't have any navigation selection on the screen, though i have the unit in the back working. I mean it works all the time, can't turn it off which sucks, because it eats battery. Also under Service Mode i can't identify the version, but you should.

Someone said 3-1/32 is the version for Range Rover. Does anyone have a link for it? Would be appreciated.

here is a problem accessing most range rover OBD2 information other than emission codes and data...

they need a manufacturer specific scan tool...   last time i checked...  they were over 10K....  

there is a chance that some of the aftermarket european scan tools might be able to talk to it...

there was a china made version ...  european only access.. that showed data for the mini.. but did not list the LR...  but it might work...    http://www.auteltech.com/eu702.htm  i have sent them a question about it.. but have not gotten any answer yet...

there are a few range rover independent shops around.. some should be able to help you...

also a bunch of land rover parts places... might know which scan tools will work...

Nah, you don't need the scanning tools for those options. In RR forum some guy said my computer was like in very "basic" mode. Like Safe Mode under Windows. And usually you get that basic menu when someone have tried to update it with wrong version.

I got the original software for 2k2-2k4 RR, but my GPS unit doesn't seem to read CDs. It's also bricked i presume
