Since I have purchased the Honda I have had nothing but issues.  Rear brakes replaced twice in a year, they say it is the mileage.  I said bs, because I have an 01 accord and it has 365,000 miles on it and it drives better than the 08, I have only replace brakes on it once.  The honda dealer said the new honda has a different braking system that that it is normal for the rear brakes to be replaced when it has alot of miles on it.  I also told him that my remote key, half the time works.  Some days when I go to crank it, it sounds like the starter is going out.  I am so disgusted with Honda that I am ready to loose the money that I put down on it and get another car (NOT A HONDA).  The only reason I bought the honda was because of the way my 2001 has held up.
It also upset me that the mechanic said since I have 55,000 miles on it that I must drive it alot in town. Trying to say I brake alot.  I said no actually I had cancer and my son drove it every week to Jesup, GA  6 hours there and 6 hours back each week.  So it was all highway miles. Oh and he said do you have finger nail I said now I do, I didn't when I had cancer, he said that a lady came in and it was her nails causing the issue with the keyless remote.  He made me feel like I was stupid because I was a lady. I also told him that there was other emails on the internet regarding the brakes, road noise, etc.  If anyone else is having the similar problem please respond to this topic. Thank you.

I had the same problem with the keyless entry a new Honda Accord I rented a month ago.  The keyless entry rarely worked.  Since I am a man it wasn't a finger nail problem - what a cheap excuse.  This is one reason I didn't care if the automakers went out of business because they are always trying to screw you.  I had to use the key most of the time and you can only do this on the driver's side.  It was so frustrating it turned me off of ever buying an Accord.  It was also loose in right turns and felt heavy like an american car.  It definetly wasn't the Accord I had rented a few years ago.  This one had 45k miles on it - alot for a rental but was in good shape.  I found it loose in right turns, a little noisy but the stereo drowned that out.  Did they tell you to turn up the stereo to drown out the noise? I took it up through NC, VA, and WV on I-77.  The gas mileage was worse than my 1999 Maxima.  I wish they wouldn't have changed that car (Maxima) or the Accord.  It appears the Japanese automakers might be following the footsteps of the American automakers.  The only advice I have for the Japanese automakers is to go back to what you had years ago - if it ain't broke don't fix it and don't change it.

NOW YESTERDAY I TOOK IT BACK BECAUSE IT DOES NOT BREAK SMOOTHLY, SO THEY RESURFACED THE FRONT BRAKES TODAY IT'S DOING THE SAME THING. I WILL BE TAKING IT BACK FOR THE 3RD TIME TOMORROW. I HAD A 2006 ACCORD AND DID NOT HAVE ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS. I WANT BUY ANOTHER HONDA

Wow. Me too. I recently bought an 08 Honda Accord and have had nothing but issues with my brakes, my remote key and my tire light constantly coming on. Within one year I had to replace the rear brakes and front brakes. I think that is ridiculous for a new car. The reason I bought the Honda in the beginning was because I had such good results with my old Honda so when it was time to get a new car it wasn't a question of what kind of car I wanted. (Another Honda ... so I thought.) A co-worker also bought an 08 Honda Accord after seeing my car and has told me that he too had to replace his rear brakes 3 times since he had his car and it's only 09! What's up with that? I had a 1995 Honda Civic with over 3,000 miles on it and only replaced the brakes twice. As far as the key remote, they clicked it and it worked so they tried to pretend I was dumb and did not know how to press the remote. It works sometimes and not other times. What have they done about it? Nothing. I am a female and I have no nails, I bite them so it's not my nails either. Then there is the little horseshoe light that they told me was the air pressure in the tires. Well their story is that when it is cold, it will come on but when the car warms up it goes off, right. It is hot and sunny out now and the light is on. I have been to them so many times about the light, I am just fustrated. Then they say it is a nail in the tire, $40 to plug it, but I am back again, and again. I think there is another issue with the tires. Anyways, what can you do but not buy another Honda?
