My 2003 S-type occasionally starts blowing Hot air when the air conditioner is on. If I turn the control to the lowest setting (60 degrees), I then get cold air out of the center vent and hot air out of the side vents. I can get the whole system to "reset" if I turn off the engine, wait about 30 seconds, and then restart the engine. The air then comes out of all vents cold.  My local Jaguar Dealer inspected it and found low freon. they added, freon, checked the freon for leaks (found none), but this situation of occasional hot air still happens, irregularly. I would really appreciate any solution which others have found to solve the problem.  

there are  at least 5 blend door actuators...   i would think that you are having a vacuum problem to the  ac system....

things that caused this problems on other cars... broken rigid plastic vacuum hoses.. even tiny cracks where the hose makes tight bends...

bad check valves in the vacuum system...

loose hoses at the intake manifold.. that supply vacuum to the ac system and its vacuum storage tank...

worn or bad... remember this is a JAG...  a c control head...

and the most likely problem..   bad solder joints in the various circuit boards that control the a/c system...

many jag owners have the bulb failure light on the dash that never goes out... i have found that the relay boxes. one in each corner has thermally damaged solder connections inside.. resoldering and cleaning the relay contacts... will make them work without replacing them... at $300 + each...
