I found a guy with a 2000 Cadillac, SLS model, with only 70,000 miles. He traveled and it sat in the garage. He is the second owner and has put 5K miles on it in 2.5 years. He no longer has a need for it since he just purchased a sports car. He is selling it for a good price: $5.8K or somewhere in there. Kelly Blue book seems to say I'm ok (private individual), and the few people I've told the particulars too all give me the same answer. I am curious what those on this board think - should I move forward?
As an FYI, I am a student and don't have a ton of extra income coming in (my wife does work). So, high maintenance cost is a bit of a scare to me. I am looking at foreign cars (e.g. Honda's, Toyota's, etc.) and they all have 120K+ miles on them, or they are 10 years old. Thus, I'm stuck on what to do. I test drove a 2000 I30 infiniti today and all I could keep telling myself is that it paled in comparison to the ride in the Caddy...but what about the maintenance? That's also what kept coming up.
So, I'll quit rambling. Thanks in advance for your help.
