Installed a new in dash receiver(Pioneer DEH-11E)in my daughters car and the FM reception isn't very good. I sent a email to Pioneer and they suggested to re-ground the antenna. Here is what they said........Try re-grounding the antenna. Put a wire around the antenna plug on the back of the unit and ground it to the chassis. This will eliminate any type of electrical static at the antenna.
Anyone ever tried this?
Thanks!

Tried it and it made no difference. I ended up buying a inline antenna booster on ebay and the reception is much better. The booster uses a 12 volt keyed source and was easy to install.
