I am in need of guidance of what I should do.
My driver door does not allow me to open my windows on the driver's side and the passenger side. Though, I can open the two windows in the back. The other doors in the car open their windows also. My driver door also does not lock my car and I can not change the position of my side mirrors.
Does anyone have any ideas of what the problem is or where I could go to get this looked at?
Thank You!!!

without knowing which car you have... it is harder to diagnose your problem....
but i would bet that the drivers door window switch is going bad... had a liquid spill into it... got wet during a rain storm...
you are describing 3 different systems... usually with different switches... ... on some cars.. they are all in one switch...
where to get it fixed.. since you did not post where in the world you live... i would say... just for humor... 3 blocks down and a block over... see sam...
depending on how old your car is... local auto repair shops.. local autoglass shops. dealership . swap in a new switch yourself..???
autozone.com has free repair info for some cars...

HAHA. I guess it shows that I do not know anything about cars or even how to get help. Apparently, I am trying to do everything in my power not to get help when I leave key information out! haha
I have a 2006 Jeep Commander and I reside in Pittsburgh, PA.
Thanks for your help!

i can only access 2005 grand cherokee prints.. and they are complicated... a ton of stuff is computerized.. multiplexed..
you are going to need a OBD2 scan tool with CAN (controller area network) it might make it easier to fix.. i am not sure..
there is one tsb and there might be more..
23-001-08A FEB 08 Body - Front Window Express Function Reverses
still could be in the switch...
this is not something that you want an untrained person messing with... a test light it a NO NO!!!! scan tool, digital volt meter. and a big thick manual... even if it is on a cd/dvd.. probably a logic probe also...
sorry i cannot be of more help... is it out of warrantee yet????
did you buy the extended warrantee????
earlier jeeps also have massive failures with window regulators.. nice cable driven devices...
remember when your parents said ... stop that .. or you will break it... thats the reality of todays cars...
you might want to check in on these magazine pages too keep up to date..

you might try checking in wiring harness between door and pillar, this is a good place for wires to break.
