I recently bought my Saab 900s from someone who told me the only wrong it was it needed a new radiator. He advised me against driving it, saying it would mess up the transmission if I did so I had it towed back. Upon inspection I found the oil to be a dark brown color, and the radiator fluid is an orangeish color and filled way past the "cool" level. I drove a few blocks to my girlfriends house for his dad to change the radiator and it already got really hot. He says he doesn't think there's a real problem with the radiator itself, but has something to do with it. Any ideas on what it could be?
