I am looking to by a used 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with very few miles at a great price......I have no familiarity with the Quadra-Trac I full-time four-wheel drive setup they have put in the V6's. I live in southern New England where I receive moderate snowfall and live near decent sized hills. How is this four-wheel drive system? Has anyone had any problems with it? Any comments would be appreciated.

I just recently sold my 2005 Laredo, but I had the QuadraTrac-II. I live in Minnesota where I get the wonderfully snowfilled winters and I didn't do any offroading. That system was wonderful. The Quadra-Trac I is probably going to be just fine for you. The V6 is going to have enough torque to get you up hills and the four driving wheels will give you what you need in slippery situations. I would not take it off-roading unless you are just driving on grass all the time. Mud and rocks would probably overtake it.
