So, never having upgraded any electronics, and soon to get a 2nd sound system for my truck, I want to make sure everything runs smoothly this time and do the big three. It's an exchange of larger wire from the: 1) Battery negative to chassis
2) Alternator to battery positive
3) Chassis to engine

Only problem is, I don't work on my car much. So, I'm currently unable to locate my alternator?

I know it's got to be a noob question, I feel dumb for asking but I don't feel like going to a shop and paying them to attach some wires I know I could do myself with the right knowledge.

i know this is an older post...but why not google engine compartment for nissan frontier, or look in the owners manual.  if not..well it does have a belt on it.  its about the size of a cantalope.  there will be a small fly wheel.  it should be fairly visiable.
