My wife's van is leaking coolant from the two pipes where the coolant appearently flows to the rear heaters? What could be a temporary solution or where can I get replacement pipes?

chrysler dealers are the only sources for those pipes as far as i know...
there are ways to disconnect the rear heaters as there are ways to bypass front heater cores....
most heater hoses are 5/8" or 3/4"
i have in the past.. visited the plumbing section of the hardware stores and bought several brass hose barbs.. and a pair of pipe elbows and a nipple to connect the two elbows.. this allowed me to hook up to hoses... and turn the flow back to the other hose... in just a few minutes... but again.. you have to know what size the hoses are... so you can get the right sized hose barbs...
you did not post which motor you have in that van...
on some earlier mopars.. when the heater cores clogged up... and people turned the heater on... the heater control valve stopped bypassing all the coolant and directed it through the heater core... this stopped the coolant bypass through the motor and the coolant flow past the closed thermostat and resulted he surging temps.. and overheating...
so .. be sure not to block the flow when you bypass the heater hoses or tubes...
