Number 6 cylinder not firing.  Good spark at spark plug and plug wire. Checked compression, good (126 psi). What else could it be?

carbon buildup on the back of the intake valve head absorbing all the fuel...

cracked distributer cap...

vacuum leak... is that where the power brake booster plugs into the intake manifold...

sure it is firing??? hooked a timing light to each spark plug wire to verify that each one is only firing one time per 2 rotations of the crank...

If you have good spark at all the plugs, and since this modle has a carburetor ,unless you have coolant leaking into that cylinder, I think it is time to pull the valve cover pan, maybe a bent intake push rod, or lobe worn on the cam.

Thanks igate.  If a intake valve was bent, wouldn't we have poor compression?

Thanks Wayne.  We checked with a light, it is firing O.K.
We do see carbon deposit and an exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold for the same poor cylinder.
The intake and exhaust use the same manifold gasket for the 2-F engine on the FJ 40
Not sure how to test for an intake vacuum leak.
I purchased a new manifold gasket, will replace it after the current cold snap passes.
