Found out from the dealer that my 2004 Cadillac SRX with 66,000 miles trade in value is only $8k, I owe a lot more than that, I have not owned an american car for over 20 years and I had no idea that a Cadillac would depreciate so fast, I have owned this vehicle for only two years. I really felt good about supporting the american car maker and the vehicle is very nice and I have not had an mechanical problems what so ever, just wish they did'nt lose their value so fast, maybe I should have stayed with BMW.
if you think that is bad.. what about the guy a few weeks ago on this forum... who messed with his ecm connectors and managed to turn his odometer reading to over 500,000 miles... how you going to explain that to your leasing company.. or his car insurance company...oh... and in case you missed.. it... everything has dropped in resale value.. i hope that you will buy again... keep the dollars at work at home.. oh.. and at 66,000 miles .. your truck is just starting to run good... keep up the normal service routine and you should get over 200,000 out of it like everybody else does..you have only gotten the purchase price down to 2 bucks a mile at 66,000. at 200 K ... you should be down to 16.5 cents per mile driven .."in style"
