Help! I'm trying to buy a Honda Accord right now, and I was hoping
that the state of the economy would let me be able to find a really
cheap deal. I know I could get something really cheap from the
American car companies, but I really want to stick to a Honda since
I've had such good luck with the last two I've had. Unfortunately, it
seems like the Honda dealers I've talked to so far aren't "hungry
enough" to cut the price a bunch. In fact, I'm finding that they're
playing stupid games with me even more than the last time I bought a
car (same dealership). Does anyone have any advice about how to get a
good deal right now? Or do you have any books you could recommend? I
found a place online that was offering an ebook about how to buy a car
cheaply, but I don't know if that's worth it without seeing the book
ahead of time. Has anyone bought this thing before or know anything
about it?

I would be thrilled if anyone has any great advice. I really can't
afford to get stuck with another high car payment right now. Thanks.

Don't buy a 2009 Honda accord. you will regret purchasing the car. There are serious brake noise problems and premature brake wear issues on these cars. If you don't believe me google it. Honda has no fixes for the problem. seriously. i bought my car a few months ago and have had brake problems from the day i drove it off the lot. and now i am stuck with a brand new car that sounds like a 1989 pieces of junk, oh, and Honda won't fix it. I would steer you in the direction of a different manufacturer all together.

I'm having the SAME exact problem with my  2009 Honda Accord V6. I bough this car in February and I've called the dealership in regards to this and they don't have an answer. I'm driving around in a BRAND new Car that sounds like a clunker. The Noise on the Brakes are getting LOUDER and its embarrassing that I've paid allot of money for this car and It's been month 6 and hasn't been fixed by the DEALERSHIP! They said that they are testing it and finding better brake pads that will work. OK so how long am I supposed to drive around like this? Isn't this a SAFTEY Issue!
Any ideas on what we can do?

You can try these resources for better luck, http://www.carcostcanada.com they can offer you what ever the dealer invoice price is, and current incentive from Honda. Overall I have been happy with Japanese car makers, due to the fact my current Cadillac and Lincoln has problems you have never even heard of.... Can't start the car due to a computer issue....periodically. You can never know when it will act up. For example in a freezing cold winter night... The Lincoln had the front springs broken to pieces and it was said to me "it's a common problem with Fords". So I rather stick to a brake noise, than my car wouldn't start, or front suspension collapsing on me. For more Information on used car buying tips

OMG!!!!! Im having the problem too!! and my battery keeps dying. My friend has an 09 civic and she is having the same problem with her battery. They gave her a new battery and it still dies!!! I have a 09 Accord and my breaks are loud!!!! I thought it was me. Im going to the dealer tomorrow. They need to recall the car. Breaks..battery..and it sounds soooooooooo bad. Not what I expected with a honda. My family owns 5 of them...but this batch is horrible! I regret buying it. A new car with an old car ride. DONT BUY ONE!!!
