I have a 99 Grand Caravan 3.8L that comes up with a code PO353. The ignition coil has been replaced and the same code still comes up. I recently tested to make sure there was power going to all four wires to the coil. The red/yellow wire(coil 3) coming from the PCM has no power. Does this mean that the PCM has gone bad? Thanks for any help!

It depends, could be a bad wire, test the connection at the PCM. And pull the terminal block could be just corroded. #3 and #6 coil driver should #2 terminal on the PCM red/yellow wire. #1 and #4 coil driver should be terminal #11 dk blu/tan. #2 and #5 coil driver should be #3 terminal grn/red ,on the PCM.

Sorry it took so long to respond back. I only get the weekends to try and work on this van. I tried taking off the top connection to the PCM and made sure there was no corrosion in the connection. I also went a step further and took out the battery, tray and air intake hoses and cleaned up all the connectors that happen to be right under the battery. There was alot of corrosion there. I also took off the grounds wires to the motor and under the PDC to the frame and made sure the connections there were clean. I still do not get power at the PCM on the red/yellow wire. What could I try next? Oh, one last thing the wire to the ignition coil #3 had been changed before we got the van, so I am guessing the previous owner encountered some problems with this before.

Did you test for power on terminal #2 on the PCM for power? The 3 drivers for the coils are transistors in the PCM, I believe that it is bad and that is your problem.
