Automotive Industry - This ruins your industry......... Let’s put a stop to these scammers!
Have you been screwed by AA Rebuilt Engine or Abacus Company? Want compensation? Post your compliant with contact information or email me at livingstonmatt007@gmail.com
I purchased two turnkey created engines 600 HP marine stroker 502 540 cid. I received the engines and they were missing:
- Edelbrock Victor Jr. Rectangular Port Intake Manifold - Edelbrock 800cfm Thunder Series Carburetor - Oil pan, Timing cover and Baffled Valve Covers - High Flow Water pump - Fuel Pump - Delco marine ignition system - Seakamp closed cooling system - Barr center rise manifolds - Straight back Mercruiser style 4" Barr risers Brass fittings, stainless clamps - 8mm High Temp Resistant Silicone Wires - Champion Spark plugs - Marine Thermostat Housing - PCV and Breather Installed - K&N chrome Air Cleaner - Custom Steel Fuel Lines and Gas Filter - High flow chrome fuel pump - Oil Filter, Dipstick and Diptube - Balanced and Painted with a High Temperature marine Paint - Performance flywheel - Alternator - Bellhousing - Coupler - Mounts - Perches - Harnass
Not only did receive missing parts but the engine was shipped 5 months late. They will not return calls or they hand up when I call. I found out that they have 20 law suits against them. .
This is an internet scam. They lure you in with their knowledge about engines and pricing. They pressure you to purchase asap with a bulk order they getting from the manufacture. And of course the money all 100% up front. My bad, for not doing more due diligence. Don’t let this happen to you or other people
I am looking to have both Dean and John to brought up on criminal charges. I will also be collecting other complaints from people who have experienced the same. Anyone that knows more information about these individuals or company please contact me at livingstonmatt007@gmail.com
I have purchased all of their domain extensions. Will be posting all complaints on the websites. Anyone searching for their company will also see other websites below. This will put them out business. They will be ready 1st week in January.

Matt,
I hope you get your money back!! ) I certainly need my money back. My husband passed away suddenly from cardiac arrest in Dec. 2007. My son and son-in-law wanted to get an engine (badly) in order to finish a 1967 Firebird that my husband was having completely restored. We were all still in shock, and were NOT thinking straight when we ordered the 400 Pontiac Engine from AA Rebuilt. My son-in-law talked to Dean and thought everything would be great. I questioned sending these people a check ~ when I didn't know anything about them, but, as I said, we were so deep in grief that all of us just wanted to finish the project that Joe had begun.
We ordered this engine in Jan. of 2008. There were e-mails, etc. for several weeks. There was always a "legitimate" excuse that the engine wasn't going to be here when expected. We all began to suspect foul play after a couple of months past due date. That is when my son got online and began investigating and found others who had never rec'd their engine, or rec'd an engine that was NOT what they had ordered.
Eventually, we cancelled and they were to send us our money back. HA We had our local police to write up a fraud crime and send it to Ill. An investigator called and spoke with me. His name was also Dean. I've wondered about that coincidence! Anyway, he did say that the building was empty that was the original address, and that there were other complaints against AA.
I finally rec'd two money orders for $500 each, yes, $1000, in Jan 2009. I suppose they think that is enough--not quite!! They still owe me over $4000.
I rec'd a call from Dean Tues. night, Feb. 24th, 2009. He mentioned the money they had sent and that I had cashed them ~~ no, I haven't. I have been waiting to see if I would hear from them. He wanted me to go ahead and cash them. He also said their business had been in financial trouble and they were trying to pay me back, a little at a time. They figured that I'd rather get it that way rather than not get any back. Well, of course, I want my money!! I asked him if they were planning on paying me back ALL of it. Of course, he said, "yes". He told me they mailed me another check that day. Well, guess what? I haven't rec'd it yet. We'll see!! I would love to get my money back, but with their track record ~ so far, I don't have a lot of faith that will happen. I would really like to be proved wrong this time!

Hi folks, i too had a very bad time with remanufactured.com, the names are the same, this was a toyota v6, they took the money right a way , after a month with no engine, they said fed ex dropped it, cracking the block. and they did not not have anther core at that time....so on 11/18/2008, i sent them my block with a promise of a 5 day turn around..... ha ha the joke is on me. with 1 return phone call per 10 of my calls...and one song after anther , the engine arrived.on 1/07/2009 ,well it was x-mass. With missing parts.... namly.. the anti knock sencer, a dealer part , with a harrness, that must be installed between the heads, also they did not install the heater hose , all so between the heads. a 700 buck engine install became a 2700 buck two week mess. start the engine... water leak from a drill plug...fix it...start engine... massive oil leak ,took awhile to find it.... from the front crank seal..... i know that is a part they buy and install, but i still had to pay to fix it. well the engine is running just fine . i have put about 1500 miles on it. now i've been trying to get the core deposit returned. Wow, talked to mike, he said , i'll get right on it.... well its now 4/1/2009 no return phone calls .... i just call ... now what. i will always do a web check on a site i use in the future.

They offer remanufactures engines and engines parts but they are actually shipping used non remanufactured parts, I bought a set of heads for my boat thru their website advertisement and close the deal thru the phone with a customer service for the amount of $1544.00. I was told that for that price the item is new not remanufactured. After receiving the part it was use but I made no complain about it as long it work it was fine for me taking in consideration that I'm in Florida and they are in Indiana (1346 Miles). As soon as my mechanic install and start the engine we start to see problem with the heads having to disassemble half of the engine and inspect the heads and realize the scam. It’s used non rebuildable heads. Now their customer service are not allow to discuss the issue they just want to to send and email and wait for their answer.

I ordered two remanufactured 1976 500 Cadillac long blocks in April 2008. When I opened the 1st package I found a 1971-74 (different heads and pistons than a 75 or 76 ) engine with no rockers, pushrods or lifters. In a separate box there were remanufactured lifters, oil pumps and a plastic bag filled with uncleaned rusty pushrods and rocker parts but not enough for both engines. During an inspection of the engine I found the cam lobes had not been polished they had the consistency of being sand blasted. The valve stems were pitted and it looked like the ends had been ground down with a side grinder. The timing was off three teeth and one of the bolts on the upper timing gear was cross threaded. Throughout the inside was a metallic paste like valve grinding compound. Being desperate for an engine I re-assembled it with a new cam, lifters, pushrods and rocker assembly. I had to re-locate the cap bolt that holds the oil pick-up tube in doing so I found the bolt still had sludge on it ( it had obviously never been cleaned). The engine ran for 15 minutes before it started blowing oil and gasses from the block. After dissassembly I found the engine had the wronge heads resulting in too much compression and melting two pistons. I then inspected the second engine and found the same problems. I attempted to get help from this company with no results ended with a loss of $6000.00 and lost revenue.

Thank you for sharing the information. We have prepaid $3545.00 on 05-04-09 for a 66 Fleetwood Cadi rebuilt engine. We have been waiting for 60 days for shipment of our order. After reading these posts we would be better off to stop now and request a refund. It seems we are only asking for trouble to proceed with the shipment as this is for a good paying customer and our reputation is on the line. We depend on quality trustworthy vendors to deliver a satisfactory product so we can warranty our services with our customers. Thanks Again, Cheryl Mr. Quick Tune, Memphis, TN

I too am having problems with AA rebuilt Inc. On 3-27-09 I ordered and paid for a 1964 Ford Custom 223 6 cyl engine which was $1790.00, $400.00 core charge, $190.00 shipping and a $90.00 add on because I live in Colorado. I was told the engine would be shipped in 30 days, after 45 days I was told that the first block was dropped and they had found another one and it would be completed in about a week. After 2 weeks I called back and was told that it was on a palet waiting for Fed Ex to pick it up. after another week I was finally able to get ahold of someone named Mike and was again told that Fed Ex was going to pick it up tomorrow, another 3 weeks of the same story, finally on7-8-09 The shop that was to install the engine recieved it. The engine was installed andevery thing went great, so far it is running fine. I hope I don't have any problems because I will not have AA Rebuilt touch it, I would probably never see it again. Now I am unable to have the core picked up because calling and leaving e-mails is getting me nowhere, I have been trying for weeks each time being told no problem by Mike @ 1-866-517-6744. Finally recieved a shipping lable, called for pick-up and Fed EX said that they are no longer giving credit to AA Rebuilt. I called Dean @ 1-800-575-6998 and explained the problem to him and he started yelling Hey Hey at me. I am the customer and do not enjoy being treated like that. I am probably out my $400.00 core charge and was over charged for shipping because I paid for return shipping for the core. It is now a personal Vendetta of mine to do all I can to stop this company from screwing people on the internet. If anyone would like to contact me my e-mail is rschaak@q.com
