Hey,

I a got a 97 neon of a friend of mine and have been slowly getting it running better and adding a few of the more stock sport pieces to it (since it was a basic sedan before). One thing i put in was fog lights. I got a used fog light bumper and added in some fog lights. However my car did not originally have the fog lights in it. What i use now is the wireing from this cheap set of Canadian tire fog lights that my friend installed. Its a basic set up but i always thought it looked kind of weird with this random switch in my car that does not look at all like it should be there. I know its in the spot where the stock switch would be, but it still looks out of place.

I noticed while working on my car from time to time that it does have the two wires in the front for the fog lights. They are all tied up but non the less there. This is because they generally use the same wiring harnesses for different models, they just dont add in the switches and such.

This got me thinking. Is it just as simple as buying the switch and a new cover (to go around the switch and the defrost button) and adding in a fuse maybe to use the stock wireing for my fog lights instead of haveing all this extra wireing running through the front of my car?
