I have a 2003 Aviator and was changing the spark plugs. I went to replace the two I had removed and there were no threads in the head to attach the plugs to. Both sets of treads disintegrated when I removed the spark plugs. I had a similar thing happen to my 2002 F-250. It cost me $400 to get this fixed. Is this a known problem with Ford products and will Ford take any responsibility for this obvious manufactures defect?

It is problem with all manif. that use aluminum heads. They make a repair kit for that and you can get it at NAPA.
