even though they made a 3.8 supercharged motor in that year... it is almost totally completely different...
it will require a complete supercharged car to do it right... there is so much to change over...
the complete motor with supercharger, intake ducts, wiring harness, computer, cooling system, transmission , fuel lines,
not something for the learner... buy a SC tbird... or for even better mileage.. buy a 87-88 T bird turbo coupe.. with the 5 speed... there are problems with $$$ replacing the antilock stuff under the hood.. so they are starting to sell really cheep...
the antilock master/booster can be replaced with a vacuum master/ booster.. but a vacuum pump will be required to assist..
i have been in an 87 5 speed version... flat out at the rev limiter at 143 mph.... a hair dryer on a pinto motor.... do plan on keeping the high speed rated tires on it... plus... when the sensors are all fresh... and everything is working correctly... you can get some really great mpg out of them...
oh... the supercharged 3.8 motors internals.... forged low compression pistons... low tension oil rings, different heads, forged rods, forged crank, the 2.3 turbo motors were also upgraded with forged pistons, forged rods, forged crank, different block...
