I have a 2000 dodge neon 2.0 and a while back I had put some fuel injector cleaner in it and now it has a little miss, back fire, hesitation. Could that have dammaged the fuel pump, fuel filter, or injectors. And does this vehicle have a fuel filter and where is it located.

GB, I'm gonna say no to your "is there a filter" the reason is that it's inside the fuel tank, good design don't you think?
Now as far as the fuel injector cleaner, and I'm going to control myself a little, it's the biggest rip off on the market, another oil company scam. In most manuals it says "Do Not Use Cleaners" They actually do more harm than good.
The other thing is the fuels we all run have so much of that cleaner stuff in it already that these poor cars run like crap.
Cleaners dissolve rubber parts, I know that don't sound so bad but if you knew about all the rubber parts in the cars you'd quit using this stuff. The fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, every injector and all of the rubber fuel lines and seals contain it.
Ok I'm getting carried away, don't use it, it don't help, which you may have just found out. Good Luck GB
