I have a 1988 Toyota Camry that is in great condition. The problem is that it seems to "go through" batteries very quickly. My ASE certified mechanics and I have been trying to locate the "unknown draw" for months now without success. The problems occur when the vehicle is not in motion. Please help us locate what ever is consistently draining it's battery. Thanks,Ecktex
there are so many things that could drain the battery...the hardest one i have ever seen was one that only did it with the doors closed and locked from the outside... seems the electrical switch on the back of the door lock was bad... and would cause the draw only when locked with a key... never with the tech inside or outside... the car...it there a light in the glove boxes??? inside the C pillar for the back seat passengers... bad cigarette lighters... antenna motor trying to retract when the key is turned off... put the amp clamp around one of the battery cables... open the car window... lock the door with a key from the outside.see what happens...
Thanks for your reply Wayne. I will try to isolate some of the things you mentioned to see if they work. We will keep on trying to solve the problems.Ecktex
