I have a 1993 Lexus ES300, and when i hold the RPM's at a constant rate the Engine Oil light comes on. When i let the RPM's drop, the light goes off. And I'm not talking about holding it in the red, i mean around 2 - 4 RPM. I havent pushed it above 4 so i don't know if that would change anything. This often happens of the highway when i am just holding my foot on the gas, and not braking much. Does anyone understand why this is happening? What really gets me is that it turns OFF when i let it drop, or when i brake 'enough'. Anyways, hope someone out there knows whats going on. Oh, and i have checked my oil levels, and it is full, and very clean...so i am stumped.

Yeah I imagined it could have been simply low oil.
