Transmission has been "rebuilt" twice.  Both times lasted less than 12k miles, second time actually less than 5k.  Will not go into gear in less than 5 minutes, then will only pull until tries to shift, then no longer pulls at all and must wait another 5+ minutes before pulling.  Fluid level is full or a bit more, do not know if filter is OK or not.  What are the items I should be checking, and if required, how would I test electronic components?  Thanks, Papa    

Does your car have EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) ?

Try reseting your components by removing the 2 plugs on your battery.

Wait for a minute then connect them again.
