I have a 2004 Cadillac SRX that keeps having a recurrent problem with the transmission and the dealership can't seem to figure out what the problem is. It will intermittently begin up-shifting and down-shifting very hard. Hard enough to nearly give me whiplash. I am frustrated beyond belief!!! They replaced the gas cap and told me that the problem was caused by air in the gas line because of a faulty gas cap! Ha! I still have the problem. Please HELP!!!

I experienced the same problems with my 2006 SRX (among many other problems). The dealership told me they couldn't locate the issue. I eventually had to utilize my state's lemon law.

I purchased my 2004 SRX a year ago this month. It has been back to the dealership 12 times for the same problem. It bags so hard when downshifting it all three gears. The dealership has told me many times that it is the makeup of the car. BULL...starting the process for the lemon law!

I purchased my 2004 srx 2 years ago, and had problems a month after I had it. We have had a burning smell and the car get hots, took it back and forth and the dealership has always found new leaks but just "fixes" and sends us on our way. It is now 2 years later still have the same problem dealership says they have done all they can. I started the Lemon Law 2 weeks ago,and since then I have read about the SRX and have found they are unsafe. I have 2 girls 10 and 6 and I don't even want to drive them in the car anymore especailly cause I have read that the glass from the moonroof and sunroof will break with nothing hitting it or happening. The attorney is going to GMC and the Dealership for answers....HOPE WE CAN GET OUT OF THIS CAR.. Has anyone else had the burning smell? and the car getting hot???
