Any opinions? There are so many reviews covering so many new models being released, for instance the Saturn Green Line, it's hard to get it all straight. But which model is the frontrunner in your mind?

If you are looking for an SUV type hybrid I would recommend the Ford Escape, or if you are willing to spend a little more, the Lexus rx400h is a pretty sweet ride. The Escape will get you around 30mpg, and the rx400h probably mid to high 20's. The epa ratings are usually skewed a bit and don't take into account for real driving habits. None the less, very good mileage being that they are SUVs. Also the Saturn Vue Green Line, is not available until Summer or Fall 06. Good luck!

If you're willing to spend a little more than the hybrid Ford Escape, consider its twin, the Mercury Mariner. Apparently it won the first "Green Car of the Year" award:
