I have a 94 dodge ram 1500 3.9L with a 5 speed nv3500 transmission and approx. 95-100k miles. It has 4th gear only, shifting it into any other gear results in no noise, no grinding, just neutral. Clutch seems to work well. Any ideas? Does this sound like a trans. overhaul fix or a minor linkage issue? Just hoping to get an idea whether or not it's worth keeping or taking to the shop because I do have a RH42 auto trans (and driveshaft if needed?) out of a 96 1500 3.9L that I can use but I'd prefer manual as autos on these dodge rams seem to be problematic (what I've read).
