Was hoping to get advise on swapping a good 3.8 motor from a 96 T&C to a 2000 T&C with a bad 3.8.   Just wondering if anyone knows if it'd be a pretty straight swap or if there'd be a lot to go into it?  Probably not going to do the swap myself, a friend at a dealership said he could get it done for me around $600 if the sensors, fuel line are the same.
I have the 96 and the motor is good and taken care of, I can get the 2000 for scrap price.  The 2000 has 245,000 though and the only thing that's been done besides general maintenance is a new tranny.  The A/C isn't working either, thought to be a compressor.   Trying to decide if it'd be worth the effort... any opinions?  Thanks.
